Animals with different Characteristic Features

Deforestation 

It is the removal of Trees by cutting them for farm land or residential areas. 

People cut forest for agricultural extension, cattle breeding, timber extraction, Dam construction and colonization. 

Disadvantages of Cutting Forest 

Increase of greenhouse gases.

Increasing soil erosion and flooding. 

Disturbance in atmospheric water cycle. 

Disturbance in seasonal rains and climate.

Food Chain 

It is a linear network of links in a food web starting from producer organism (example grass, trees etc.) and ending at apex with Predator species like tiger,lion, whale etc. 



Importance of forest 

1.  They help us breathe. 

2. Provide Oxygen and consume CO2. 

3.  They keep us cool and regulate climate temperature. 

4.    They help in raining. 

5.  They prevent flood and soil erosion. 

6.   They provide timber, fire wood and fodder. 

7.   They add to the beauty of nature. 

8.  They provide home to birds and animals.
