Parts of a plant Root - It is the part of a plant that grows underground. Roots help in absorption of water and minerals from the soil. Roots are of two types - Tap roots and Fibrous roots. Shoot - Part of a plant that grows above the ground. Stem - Helps most plants to stand erect. Helps in transportation of water and food. Branches - Bear Leaves,Flowers and fruits.
