Organs of Our Body

Organs of Our Body

Body Parts are also called Organs.

There are two types of organs in our body 

1.  Internal Organs

2.  External Organs

External organs 

Those parts of our body which we can see through our eyes are called External Organs.

Example -  Head , Mouth, Ears, Legs, Hands etc. 

Internal Organs 

Those parts of our body which are inside our body which we cannot see through our eyes are called Internal Organs.

Example - Brain, Lungs, Hear, Liver, Kidneys etc.

Functions of the  Internal Organs

1.  Brain -  Body control - It controls nervous system.

2.  Heart - Blood circulation - It pumps blood into body.

3.  Stomach - Food digestion - It is as organ that process the food.

4.  Lungs - Breathing - They take oxygen from the air and eliminate carbon dioxide. 

5.   Kidney - Filtration 

6. Intestine - They absorb nutritive substances and eliminate the waste. 

7. Liver - It produces substances for digestion.
Functions of External Organs

1.  Eyes           Sight

2.  Nose          Smelling

3.  Ears           Hearing

4.  Legs           Walking

5.  Mouth   Speaking / Eating
